Lagos State Governorship Aspirant in Conjunction with PEACrEc impacts Secondary School Students

Nollywood Actor and Lagos State Governorship Aspirant of the United Democratic Party (UDP) for 2019 election, Sam Uche Anyamele together with the Peace and Conflict Resolution Resource Centre (PEACrEc) held an event in commemoration of the International Day of Education with the students of Command Day Secondary School, NAFRC, Oshodi on Thursday, January 30th, 2020.

The event which was held at the resource centre of Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre (NAFRC), Oshodi had in attendance officers who are facilitators of Military, Police and Paramilitary Public Relations Officers Forum (MILPPOPROF). The event was organized to inform students of the importance of security and how education is a major part of this.

During the event, Mr Tope Banjo, Business Trainee and Vision Builder spoke to the students about the importance of choosing a fitting career and his project tagged “Improve” that has been put together for free to help with making the best choice as regards their career and building a better future for themselves.

Col Kingsley Umoh delivered a lecture to the students on behalf of MILPOPPROF. The lecture was titled: “Education, A Security Issue”. Col Umoh during his lecture enlightened the student on how the poor state of education can be harmful to the security of the nation and the need for each student to use the privilege of their education to contribute immensely to the development of their societies.

Actor and Governorship Aspirant, Sam Uche Anyamele spoke to the students and encouraged them to prepare for their future starting from today as he shared his personal life experiences with them. The students of Command Day Secondary School expressed their gratitude to PEACrEc for giving such an opportunity to learn and prepare for their future.
