PEACrEc Launches Ondo State MILPOPPROF Chapter in Grand Style
The Ondo State Chapter of the Military, Police and Paramilitary Public Relations Officers Forum (MILPOPPROF) was launched today 23rd January 2020 in an event organized by Peace and Conflict Resolution Resource Centre (PEACrEc) at the Ondo State Police Officers Mess, Akure.
The Launch was attended by the Senior Special Assistant to the Ondo State Governor on Security, Alh Jimoh Dojumo who duly represented Governor Akeredolu at the event. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ondo State, Mr Joseph Akinyede, the Vice-Chairman, Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Mr Funmi Ikueduranmi and other Public Relations Officers from the various Security agencies in Ondo State were in attendance at the launching.
Col Kingsley Umoh, the Chairman BoT PEACrEc gave the opening remark where he spoke about what led to the creation of MILPOPPROF and the need for synergy among PROs of the security agencies. The SSA to Ondo State Governor on Security expressed the approval of the State Governor concerning the launching of MILPOPPROF chapter in the State, according to him; he believes this will further enhance peace and security in the State.
The Public Relations Officers of the agencies represented which include, Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Army, Nigeria Customs, Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Correctional Service, Federal Road Safety Corps, Nigeria Security & Civil Defence Corps and National Drug Law Enforcement Agency were so grateful to PEACrEc for giving them such opportunity to synergize and to work together for the peace and security of the State and Nation as a whole.
