The team of Peace and Conflict Resolution Resource Centre (PEACrEc) led by the Chairman Board of Trustees, Col Kingsley Umoh paid a courtesy visit to the Delta State Commissioner of Police in the person of CP Hafiz Mohammed Inuwa on the 26th of February 2020 at the Police headquarters in Asaba, Delta State.
CP Hafiz Mohammed Inuwa received the PEACrEC team in his office along with the Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP Alhassan Aminu and the Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Umar Chuso. The Commissioner of Police was glad to receive the team as he used the opportunity to commend PEACrEc for her efforts in building synergy among the various security agencies.
In his words, CP Hafiz Mohammed Inuwa said: “I want to appreciate you for taking up this initiative because most of the problems in the society arise from lack of communication, a lot of misconceptions come up due to lack of knowledge of the workings in most of the organizations.”
Col Kingsley Umoh during the visit shared with the Commissioner of Police and the DCP and ACP the purpose of the forum established by the NGO and what led to the initiative; he also expressed that the forum will continue to thrive with the support of the leaders and heads of the various agencies.
