The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 2 Command Lagos, AIG Abdulmajid Ali, has introduced educative sessions for officers and men at the Zonal Command Onikan Lagos with a view to impacting principles of modern policing and injecting learning/reading culture in his personnel towards having people-oriented police institution.

The maiden educative session was held at the conference hall, zone 2 command, Onikan Lagos, with many resource persons including the police boss, AIG Abdulmajid Ali, senior police and other security officers, Health Management Teams amongst others.

The Police Boss, as usual, reiterated his zero tolerance for corruption, excessive use of force, dirtiness, incivility to the public, drunkenness and unethical conducts that can damage the image of the Nigeria Police Force. He seized the opportunity to challenge his personnel to read and imbibe the spirit of love to all and sundry they come in contact with. 

The health management teams (Police Medical Department inclusive) lectured the officers and men on the need for regular medical check and treatment to avoid sudden deaths. The Assistant Inspector General of Police added his voice to regular medical check and maintenance of good health that will make a better and healthier work force in the Police.

The AIG has however mandated the police medical unit to henceforth carry out drunkenness and mental checks on men (particularly those on operations) of the command to avoid any accidental discharge of extra judicial killings. He also promised to make the educative sessions regular, fortnightly, so as to make it a tradition to be sustained even after his tenure of office as the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of zone 2, Lagos.
