The South West Coordinator of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Mallam Sulaiman Yaqub paid a courtesy call to the Lagos State Fire Service

The South West Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Mallam Sulaiman Yaqub paid a courtesy call to the Lagos State Fire Service Headquarters at Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.

The visit according to him, was to familiarize him with the new terrain and seek the support and cooperation of all stakeholders and importantly the fire fighters who he described as first responder to distress and emergency calls. He added further that they have become a masterstroke of emulation who are ahead of their counterparts and whose performances are always in line with global practice.

Director Lagos Fire Service, Rasak Fadipe  while receiving the NEMA chief expressed his appreciation for the august visit and pledged his willingness to promote harmonious working relationship between the two agencies. He expressed further that his officers had been trained professionally to meet the Mega City status of the State and which has contributed to prompt respond to fire outbreaks and other related incidents.

The Fire Service boss who latter walked his guests round the ultra modern facilities of the agency commended the State Government for continuously empowering the agency and which has contributed to its Success story.
