The Eid-el-Kabir celebration also known as Eid al-Adha is a major Islamic Festival that brings together Muslims all over the world. The Festival is an event that reminds Muslims and other people about how Ibrahim was willing to sacrifice his only son in obedience to Allah’s command.

Muslims all over the world use the opportunity of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration to jubilate together as they repeat the same sacrifice done by Ibrahim several years ago by the killing of animals. The festival is majorly used as the period of family reunion in Nigeria and some other parts of the world.

The Eid-el-Kabir festival is one of the seasons Muslims show love to many people around them, whether they are of the same religion or not; they do this by cooking meals in large portions which they share to their neighbours and also to the needy in their environment.

Peace and Conflict Resolution Resource Centre (PEACrEc) celebrates with all Muslims and we are using this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration to encourage everyone to make the sacrifice for Peace in our societies by showing love to our neighbours and Strangers. We wish you all a peaceful Sallah celebration. Barka da Sallah
